Square Enix role-playing game Bravely Default: Flying Fairy is coming to Nintendo 3DS early next year, Nintendo revealed today in a financial document (PDF). Nintendo says it will publish the game sometime between January and March 2014.

Previously, the game had only been confirmed for release sometime in 2014.

The North American release will be based on an updated version of the original, which will be called Bravely Default: For the Sequel when it's released in Japan this December. For the Sequel supposedly features more than 100 improvements over the game's original release.

Nintendo released an English language trailer for the game, which will be known simply as Bravely Default, last month.

Read this: How Hiroshi Yamauchi took Nintendo from wooden playing cards to the age of Super Mario

Former Nintendo president Hiroshi Yamauchi passed away this morning, at the age of 85. His legacy is incredible. During his fifty-three year reign, he turned his great-grandfather's Japanese playing card company into the cornerstone of the video game industry.

In 1994, journalist and New York Times bestselling author David Sheff wrote the book on how Nintendo got that way. In Game Over: How Nintendo Conquered The World , he details how the first male Yamauchi in three generations ruled Nintendo with an iron fist, how the 21-year-old Yamauchi first fired the old guard and then drove the company towards business after failed business (including love hotels — it was said Yamauchi was his own best customer) to satisfy his ambitions.

New Japanese Wii U bundles include three games, a Wiimote and even a karaoke subscription

Japanese Wii U bundle has it all Super Mario Bros U, Wii Party U, Wii Fit U, a Wiimote and even karaoke

Nintendo fans in Japan have just been offered the motherload of Wii U bundles: two packages that include as many as three games, an extra controller and a subscription to a karaoke service. Both bundles come with either a white or black 32GB console, a matching Wii Remote Plus, 30 days of Nintendo x Joysound Wii Karaoke U service and digital copies of New Super Mario Bros U and Wii Party U. The lower-end package snags all of the above for a cool 32,800 yen (about $332), but an extra 2,000 yen (roughly $20) adds a copy of Wii Fit U and a Fit Meter — although it looks like the requisite balance board will be sold separately. Considering that a standard Wii U Deluxe system now sells for $300, these bundles seem like solid deals. There’s no word if a similar compilation is being prepared for international markets, but at least we have the limited-edition Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD bundle to comfort us.

Nintendo experienced a significant drop in stock shares after being excluded from the Nikkei 225 Stock Average, resulting in its biggest slump in more than two years, Bloomberg reports.

Shares of the company fell 8.4 percent to 10,860 yen in Tokyo. Nintendo previously gained 31 percent following expectations of its stock being added to the Nikkei, Japan's most widely quoted average of Japanese equities; however, it failed to be promoted in the annual index review as was expected by market analysts.

In a report referenced by Bloomberg, BNP Paribas SA analyst Takao Suzuki stated: "We believe Nintendo's shares have been overvalued due to speculative demand, on the assumption that they would be included in the Nikkei. As this expectation...
