Scentee wants to expand your smartphone horizons and add smell to the senses your phone already stimulates. The plug-in accessory attaches to headphone socket on both iPhones and Android smartphones and, when told to by the companion app, releases a burst of fragrance, paired with a customizable LED light. It’s ridiculous, but that’s very much part of the Japan-made accessory’s charm. The most important factor here is arguably the range of scents available, and Scentee hasn’t held back. In no particular order, aromas include rose, mint, cinnamon roll, bacon, coffee, curry, jasmine, ylang-ylang, lavender, apple, coconut, strawberry and er, corn soup. They’re joined by a special limited edition Korean BBQ collection that’ll be available on November 15 and includes three extra ‘flavors’: two different type of meat and, well, baked potato. This bundle’s particularly skewed towards Japanese customers, although we’re already infatuated with the idea of on-demand bacon smells. Boete voor 'overvallers'

Drie mannen in Utrecht hebben een boete van de politie gekregen omdat ze als overvallers over straat liepen.

De politie kreeg zaterdagochtend rond half tien verscheidene telefoontjes van verontruste mensen binnen. Zij meldden dat er mannen met bivakmutsen rondliepen bij een geldinstelling aan de Croeselaan.

De politie trof daar enkele mannen aan die een vriend van hen 'ontvoerden' tijdens een vrijgezellenfeestje. De vrienden in de leeftijd van 28 tot 30 jaar uit Zeist, Utrecht en Baarn begrepen niet dat mensen het alarmnummer 112 hadden gebeld.

De vrienden zijn aangehouden voor het verstoren van de openbare orde. Alle mannen, behalve de vrijgezel, kregen een boete van 130 euro.

Slakkengang kost man rijbewijs

Een 77-jarige man uit Eelde is zijn rijbewijs kwijt omdat hij veel te langzaam reed. De politie zette hem op de A28 bij Haren aan de kant, nadat de man daar 40 kilometer per uur had gereden.

Gemiddeld rijden auto's daar 120 kilometer per uur. Door de slakkengang van de 77-jarige ontstond er een levensgevaarlijke situatie op de snelweg.

De man vertelde de politie dat hij wel eens wilde zien wat er zou gebeuren als je heel langzaam over de snelweg rijdt. De agenten besloten om zijn rijbewijs in te nemen. De man was het daar niet mee eens en reed achteruit op de vluchtstrook weg.

Dat was voor de agenten de druppel die de emmer deed overlopen en de automobilist werd aangehouden.

BRUSSEL - Het Belgische nationale voetbalelftal is zaterdagmorgen vroeg geland op Brussel Zaventem, nadat de spelers zich in Zagreb hadden gekwalificeerd voor de eindronde van het Wereldkampioenschap 2014 in Brazilië. Volgens doelman Thibaut Courtois was er tijdens de terugreis “veel gezongen op het vliegtuig” door de ‘Rode Duivels’.

An indie developer was arrested last week in Detroit and is being charged with attempting to enter the U.S. illegally by swimming across the Detroit River from Canada, reports the Detroit Free Press.

Sam Smolders, a citizen of Belgium, was taken into custody by Border Patrol agents at around 2 a.m. Sept. 5. According to a criminal complaint filed Monday in federal court, Smolders was found standing "soaking wet" on a boardwalk in Detroit. When asked what happened, Smolders explained to the agents that he went into the Detroit River — which separates the U.S. from Canada — to retrieve his bag after three men harassed him and threw his bag into the river.

Smolders told the agents he had no proof of identification on his person, but...
